Delete your account
Last updated 23 September 2026
If you still have the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately. Open Armon, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm. If you have been signed in for a long time, you may be asked to sign in again first, which is a safety check rather than a problem.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Send an email to from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account. We will delete it and confirm by reply, normally within two business days and always within 30 days.
We ask you to write from the address on the account because that is how we know the request is really yours. If you no longer have access to that address, write anyway, and we will find another way to verify it.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in credentials.
- Your account record, including your notification preferences and subscription status.
- Your learning progress and review schedule, for every language.
- Every flashcard you have saved.
This cannot be undone. There is no way to restore progress after deletion, and signing up again with the same email gives you a new, empty account.
What does not get deleted, and why
- Your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel it because Apple, Google, and Stripe hold the billing relationship, not us. Cancel it where you bought it, before or after deleting. The terms say where.
- Payment and tax records. The app stores and payment processors are required to keep these, and we cannot remove them.
- Backups. Your data may persist in encrypted backups until they age out on their normal rotation, usually within 30 days. It is not accessible in the app during that time and is not restored.
If you only want to stop the reminders
You do not need to delete your account. Turn notifications off in Settings inside the app, or in your phone's own notification settings for Armon.
